Preparation:
Vegetables with oatmeal might sound strange, but tastes great and saves you lots of carbohydrates. Zoats are made of grated courgette, oatmeal and water or milk. As courgette doesn’t really have its own flavour, you can make them taste however you like. You can use any substitute for milk and water – like oat, almond or other plant-based drinks.
Preparing the protein zoats
- Add the grated courgette to a pot and cover with water. Gently simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the oatmeal and whey, then add 150 ml of water. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes on a low heat.
- Fill the zoats into a bowl or glass.
- Add your favourite topping to finish it off & enjoy!
Those who like things sweeter can add to the flavour with banana, honey, agave syrup, cinnamon or vanilla extract.
Tip:
Berries or cherries are a lovely fresh addition for fruit lovers. Add a teaspoon of Organic Chia Seeds or psyllium seed husks for an extra dose of fibre.
