Preparing the protein energy balls
- Quickly soften the figs and almonds in some hot water and then strain them.
- Put the almonds into a blender and blend.
- Cut the figs into pieces and add to the mix, then blend and add some water if necessary.
- Add the cocoa nibs and whey protein and blend again.
- Form the dough into little balls and roll in the desiccated coconut.
Tip:
You can use any other dried fruit as a base – like dates, apricots or plums.
